Review: My Vroom Vacuum Cleaner Incredibly Sucks (in a good way!)

Upon the moment of learning that I would be reviewing a new vacuum
cleaner (Vroom Solo), I was jumping for joy. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and have a black lab, which means construction dust and dog hair are everywhere. So, I knew that this vacuum would be put to the ultimate test.
About a week after receiving the notice of the review, my favorite UPS guy showed up with two boxes and I was super excited. As with any manual guide, I read from cover to cover and back again, so I was ready for installation (okay, I’m geeky that way!). However, my dilemma was where I would install it. Since the unit is stationary, I needed to figure out where it would suit us the best.
I decided that I would install it in the mud/dog room since this room is normally the dirtiest. With a 24′ hose, I felt that I could also use it in the kitchen by installing it in the mud/dog room.
After carefully unpacking the boxes, I was happy to see that there were not too many parts to put together. With just a little bit of wiring, attaching a hose, installing the mounting brackets and I was good to go. Because I’m very meticulous, it took me approximately two hours from start to finish to install this cool vacuum.
Now installed, I was anxious to see how well it sucked. I know what you are saying “that’s an awful statement to say about a vacuum cleaner”. Well, is it really? Don’t you want your vacuum cleaner to suck? I know I do! I am happy to report…this vacuum cleaner sucks! The sucking power is incredible. Dog hair, no more! Construction dust, no more! Woohoo…I’m thrilled!
Now, let’s talk about the unit itself…The Vroom Solo.
Vroom Solo comes with its own power source and simply plugs right in to an electrical outlet so it can be installed virtually anywhere! It fits standard kitchen and bathroom cabinets, but can also be used in garages, mudrooms, laundry rooms, basements, etc. The only limit is your imagination.

Vroom’s attachments add versatility
Vroom’s contoured end works as a built-in crevice tool. It also comes with two convenient tools: 1) A 19” adjustable wand expands to 30.5” so you can effortlessly clean floors and more without bending or straining. 2) A convertible floor/rug tool makes it easy to go from surface to surface. You can also use most standard vacuum attachments with Vroom.
One of the coolest things about the Vroom is its handle. You pull up on the handle to turn on the unit and when you place the handle back into the unit, it shuts off. It kind of reminds me of a gas pump. If you can pump gas, you will love this vacuum.
There are a million uses for Vroom
Experience the 3 Second Clean in every room of the house! From pet hair to spilled cereal to broken glass, no mess is a match for Vroom’s speed and convenience.
Believe me, I’ve put this unit to the maximum test. Our black lab is shedding his winter coat which means fine stiff dog hair is everywhere in his room/mudroom. With the Vroom Solo, clean up is super easy. Also, since we are currently undergoing a kitchen remodel, it is amazing just how much dust gets in every crack and crevice. With the Vroom Solo’s incredible sucking power the dust vanishes.
I love everything about this unit. It’s compact enough to be out of the way, yet powerful enough to stand up to the greatest of messes. With a price tag of $299.00, I feel that is a fair price for the unit.
My only concern would be for those who rent their home. However, have no fear…I’ve come up with a solution! Install the unit inside a bookshelf or a buffet. Think of the furniture that moves with you from place to place and install it in there. Again, with a 24′ hose, the reaching capabilities to clean up messes across the room are impecable. In fact, since I do not have any cabinetry installed in my mud/dog room, the Vroom Solo is installed in the lower enclosure of our boot bench. It’s nicely tucked away, yet completely functional.
So there you have it! I happily give this product 5 Heels!

If you have a Vroom or have used one, I’d love to hear from you. If you want one…I want to hear from you too!
That’s it for now. Until next time…wear your heels well and get cleaning with a brand new Vroom Solo!
