Black Friday is Just a Few Weeks Away

You don’t have to know me for very long to know that I love shopping. I breath shopping. I dream shopping. I shake in pure excitement when I see a sales ad. So, Black Friday is like a national holiday. I love, love, love it! I’m so looking forward to all of the Black Friday 2009 Online Deals, as well.
Now that my kids are older, we plan our shopping extravaganza and it starts out something like this.
Midnight – meet at Denny’s for a bite to eat and strategically plan our tour through the stores. With sales ads in hand, we make a list of things we want in each store. Then we assign a shopping list to each of us.
At 1:30 a.m., we stop by Duncan Donuts and get Java-in-a-Box with all the trimmings. Then we head to the mall and get in line. Now, don’t get me wrong, we get in line in luxury. We have our foldout chairs, blankets, coffee, donuts, and incredible conversations. Boy have we met some great friends through the years.
This is a great way to save on Christmas gifts and spending your hard money in a way that will ultimately benefit you in the long run. For example, a few years back I really, really wanted to a new video camera that recorded video on DVDs. I had my eye on this cute little Sony, but it was nearly $700. I could not justify paying that amount of money for the camera.
Fast forward a few weeks to Black Friday. I was super psyched when Best Buy had my cute little Sony video camera on a 2-hour sale for only $299.00. Woohoo…I think the sales ad even had my name on it! I was so excited to get my camera.
I love spending time with my kids and this is a great opportunity to make a family tradition. What do you usually do on Black Friday?
I’d love to hear from you!
Until next time…wear your heels well!
